Hi. We are visiting Vienna and are thinking of going on to Budapest from there. Do you think this is a good route or perhaps you have some suggestions as to how we could get there, what is interesting on the way and so on? Has anyone done this? All your comments are very welcome, as all options are open! Thank you!

OK as you say you are open to all suggestions, how about this? I did this trip last year by bicycle with a couple of mates and I had a great time! It was a bit of a challenge, travelling also with a rucksack, but the sites where great and along the way we met lots of interesting people (including other cyclists!). Planning the route was quite complicated as bicycle maps are not very available. Please let me know if you do decide to do this!
