Hi! I'm going to the southwest of Florida. I like the coastal area near the gulf and I saw some pictures of southwestern part of Florida with variety of small canals and it reminded me of Venice or Amsterdam. However, I don't know anyone who was there and wonder what the weather is like there. What kind of clothes should I bring?

If you go to Florida, I will recommend you some beaches there. Bonita Beach is very beautiful. There are springs and a park there. Another one is a beach near the Sarasota Bay. As for the weather, it is generally very nice. It's hot and sunny especially in July and August. The temperatures are very high and that's why the rain showers are very often. The climate is mild and though the only kind of wind there seems to be breeze, there are some very powerful storms caused by the vicinity of the Gulf of Mexico. But in spite of the rainfall and winds, it's very hot there. You really won't need any warm clothes.
