Turkey to Egypt by boat?

I need some info on the trip from Turkey to Egypt by boat. I will be having a vacation in Turkey I already booked 10 days accommodation in Izmir and afterwards I plan on having further 10 days vacation in Sinai at Sharm al Sheikh precisely. Anyway the thing is that I would like to avoid traveling through Israel and all the flight for Sinai are already booked so I thought maybe it would be ok going from Turkey to Egypt by boat but I haven't managed to find any direct boat trip from Turkey to Egypt so would appreciate any info on this now.

I don't think there is any direct boat trip from Turkey to Egypt but I know there is a ferry from Marmaris in Turkey to Rodos and than you may have another ferry or boat trip from Rodos to Alexandria where you cold catch some cheap direct flight to Sharm el Sheikh. Maybe it sounds complicated but I had the same route ones and I just had a great time.
