Travelling to Guinea Bissao

I will be visiting Senegal and am also planning on traveling to Guinea Bissau but am curious how safe being there is now-I mean I hope the war has ended. Anyway what do you think-what are the best places there in Guinea Bissau to visit and where to go and where to stay there? Thanks!

The war is ended finally and it is been more than 6 years to it so nowdays it is absolutely safe traveling to Guinea Bissau. And as for the accommodation I only know for one place there-though there are many other accommodation opt there in Bissau but I stayed at Pensao Central hotel with the look at the Atlantic and there is even a ferry near so I was having a ride to those closest islands around-they are just beautiful. But besides those islands you could visit some inside parts of Guinea Bissau and though I never visited Lagoa de Cufada and Cacheu Natural Park I have heard those are beautiful places to see. Maybe there are hard to be reached if you are in lack of time but if you are willing to stay there much longer than you may hire some car for example which is much cheaper than having an organized tour.
