Do Alaskan Volcanos Still Errupt?

Hi! Please dont mind me asking, but do Alaskan Volcanoes still erupt? Im planning to make an Alaskan tour with my children, but I fear a bit about the volcanoes. How dangerous can it be? Is there something special I should pay attention to? And what can we see in volcano area? Thanks.

Hello! Alaska is rich with its volcano areas. And, some of them are still active. Those are the Aleutian Arc volcanoes, part of the famous Pacific ring of fire. Over ten years ago there had been several volcano activity, so Anchorage airport was closed. But, you dont have to worry much. There are regularly updated reports about volcano activities and you can check them daily, monthly or periodically, so you can see for yourself are there some changes in volcano activity or not.
