I have always wanted to visit Cairo. Just to think that I am going to see all of those things I have always dreamed of makes me impatient to take off. My wife booked Talisman Hotel de Charme. I don’t know if we did the good thing. Has anyone stayed at Talisman Hotel de Charme, Cairo?

I was there some six months ago and I must say that it lived up to my expectations. The location is perfect. The Egyptian Museum, Islamic Cairo and El-Abd (the most famous bakery in the city) are close. It will take you some ten to twenty minutes of walking to reach them. The hotel is located on a floor of a traditional building and has typical arched doorways and handmade wooden furniture. Traditional art and tapestries, exotic kilims (woven carpets), let you feel the real taste of the East. I must say that we were pleased with the staff and service. I can tell you that rooms are not cheap. Be prepared to cash in substantial amount. But it is worth it. I don’t regret a single cent. If you like to enjoy your breakfast you will have a chance to do it here since they offer homemade juice, great pastries, coffee, toast, yogurt, cheese and fruit among other things. You can rest on nice beds in nice rooms decorated in the same style the whole hotel is. Clean, large bathrooms will make your shower minutes (or hours!) pleasurable. Needless to say you have mini fridge, TV, even a hairdryer. If you want to get online you can do it in a lounge-like room for free.
