What's the best place for casual vacation?

I am a bit tired of all those high quality resorts (beach or snow), I would just like to go somewhere to rest and relax, and it does not have to be crowded with people from all around the world, my girlfriend would be more than enough. So, in your opinion, what’s the best place for casual vacation?

Well, this would mean that you would have to look up for a place that is not that popular, but still good enough to satisfy your desires. Perhaps you can try with some of the Greece islands; you might find small places with a hotel/villa that would be just yours during your vacation. That would be interesting, don’t you agree?
