I am planning on visiting Ecuador soon and though I will be mostly staying in Quito I have planned some few days’ visits around areas of Rio Esmeraldas River but am also interested in visiting Cotopaxi national park. So do you know if it is possible actually having some tour involving visit to Cotopaxi national park and would actually like to hear if there is anyone visited cotopaxy national park to tell me something about it? Thanks!
Back there in Quito almost each travel agency organized Cotopaxi national park tour so you won’t be having any trouble getting there –if you are wiling to pay of course and I think it is worth visiting especially for that volcano crater from where some sulfur smells is coming out these years for some fumarolic activities developed in recent years though it won’t explode yet trust me-it is safe climbing up to the top and if you are willing you may even ski back down – I missed this part but I saw people doing it. Anyway I was camping there in cotopaxi national park for about whole week and I felt so relaxed and nature part alike-I even saw some wild horses there and they say that those nowdays horses actually originates from those cotopaxi ones. Birds are fantastic as well as some sort of flowers. Anyway it is not problem reaching cotopaxi national park- I was there with few of my friends and we rented a jeep in Quito but of you are going organized as a part of the tourist group than you will have an organized bus transport.
