I really like Amsterdam, and I am about to go there in nearest time. Some of my friends were there and had a blast but some complain came out during our chats. They claim, they have never seen in their lives more filthy public toilets in their traveling experience so far then in Amsterdam. Is that true?

Are you sure they were talking about public toilets?! Do they have any, me wonder? Maybe you misinterpreted things; Dutch people are famous for urinating in public, very often in the canal. So my suggestion, dont drink water while you are there unless is bottled, althoughhmm..no I dont even go there with my thoughts. But in general yes, public toilets are disgusting.
