Phuket or Patong beaches?

My husband wants us to go to Thailand this winter. Were trying to decide whether to go to Phuket or to Patong Beach. Although Ive seen pictures from Thailand and I think its a wonderful place, Im still little worried about those earthquakes and tsunamis. But he is convincing me that everything is back to normal and the whole area is recovered now. Id be grateful for the information whether it is true.

First, you wont make a mistake no matter which of the beaches you pick. Thailand is a heaven on earth, so dont worry about that. If you visit it once, youll come back again and visit the other beaches. Second, the earthquake and tsunami did severely damage the Thai coast, but your husband is right, and Thailand has recovered from the catastrophes it was struck by. Beaches are beautiful again and theres no need to be afraid. Welcome!
