| I plan to open a Thai restaurant in my town with some friends. I am a good cook, at least they say so, but I haven't any experience in Thai kitchen. I would like to go to the root itself to Thailand and to learn their ways in cooking. So, if you have any knowledge of their cuisine and schools where it can be taught to, please let me know. A friend's friend was in Chiang Mai. Anyone else? Thank you in advance. |

| I'm a cook in a Thai restaurant, too. I attended a Cooking school in Chiang Mai. It was established in 1993 by Sompon Nabnian. I hear that he's taught over 100,000 people. I don't know if it is truth, but I was very satisfied with my cooking lessons. I don't know if you know something about Thai cuisine. It includes rice, chicken, spicy soups, green curry, papaya salads and many more Thai spices and vegetables. You'll learn all of them during the course. They use very often coconut milk in their mils. It's unusual, but you'll get used to it. Have a great time in Chiang Mai and give my regards to the maestro. |
