All depends on what kind of trip you want, active that includes visiting as much places that you can achieve without passing out because of exhaustion or passive, resting one. I will suggest two towns that I find most interesting. I guess in every country it is a shame to miss seeing the capitol, in this case Sophia which has many nice historical places, like: Alexander Nevsky Cathedral, St. Sophia Church, National History Museum, National Art Gallery., Alexander Nevsky Crypt are just some of them that you just shouldnt pass by. If you like to ski then you should go there in December or end of the April. One of the most beautiful cities of Bulgaria is Varna, the Sea capital of this country placed in the Varna Bay on the Bulgarian Black Sea. You will get at least 10 sunny hours for swim and getting a nice ten. Tourists who are enjoying in spending time in the nature will be pleasantly surprised with what Varna has to offer. Nature attractions in this town and its closest area are: Euxinograd Park, the Marine Gardens which are the largest in the Balkans, the former Royal Palace; the paradise of St.Constantine and only Aquarium in Bulgaria. With all the ancient renaissance architecture mixed with even modern structures Varna will most probably take your breath away.
