I plan a trip to Malta this fall and I’m gathering information about this interesting country. I’m making an itinerary of the places that I’d like to visit and it seems to me that there are numerous historic and cultural hotspots there. But what I still can’t find out is when this Mediterranean carnival on Gozo Island takes place. Anybody knows that?
It is true that Malta is a hidden gem of Southern Europe. I really don’t know why people are not more interesting into visiting this magical place because it feels like stepping back in time. La Valetta looks like an ancient city and it is really awesome. I think that they should work on marketing more because that way I’m sure that a greater number of tourists will be attracted. Now about the carnival. I don’t know for certain but I have read that this Maltese Carnival takes place in February each year. It is a very old tradition on Malta and as far as I could find out, it has always been held in February. this means that if you plan a trip in autumn that you are going to miss the carnival but I’m sure that once you set your foot on Maltese ground you will surely want to get back again.
