Can I buy some nice jewelry in Ukraine for my wife? I’m going to this country on a business trip and I’d like to surprise her with a nice gift. She is very fond of jewelry but this doesn’t necessarily have to be something expensive. It can be some traditional jewelry with Ukrainian motifs. What would you suggest me to buy her?

Well, if your wife is not snobbish, then it would be great to get her traditional, hand-made Ukrainian jewelry. It is very attractive and the fact is that some of the pieces are made of 14K gold and still they can be bought at pretty affordable prices. As far as I understand this craft is very developed in Ukraine and there are many shops selling those items. I have found a site with Ukrainian jewelry and there they say that you can find unique pieces designed and created by famous Ukrainian artists. It all does look very attractive and colorful. Each true jewelry collector would be happy to have something like that in his or her collection.
