How far is Turkmenbashi from Ashgabat?

I and my wife will visit Turkmenistan and some other surrounding countries. We plan to stay in Ashgabat and see whatever is there to see. However, a friend of mine has jus called me and informed me that he will be in Turkmenistan at the same time. We agreed to meet in Turkmenbashi on 12th next month. How far is Turkmenbashi from Ashgabat?

Well, there are some 515 km between them. Turkmenistan Airlines runs regular flights between Ashgabat, and Turkmenbashi. Also, there are daytime and overnight trains between Turkmenbashi and Ashgabat. Traveling by bus is also a cheap alternative since there are services within all the major towns. You can enjoy your ride in modern and comfortable long-distance buses that run between Turkmenabashi and Ashgabat.
