Faire from Dahab to Petra

I will be staying at Dahab almost 3 weeks this summer and it would be my second time on Sinai-the first time I visited Jerusalem also and now I am willing to have some faire from Dahab to Petra in Jordan but I am not sure there are any organized fairs from Dahab to Petra. So maybe some of you could tell me something on this Dahab Petra route anyway for I really have a wish visiting the old town of Petra and I thought I could do it while vacating in Dahab this summer and I just need some further info on this. I also had this Faire from Dahab to Petra â€“it was last summer. My husband and our friends have spent a beautiful vacation back there on the Red Sea and I remember we have consulted many agencies on this Fiare from Dahab to Petra issue and it turned out all this tours actually starts from Cairo going down to Luxor I guess and than passing onto Sinai visiting Sharmâ€“el-Sheikh and gong further north visiting Dahab and staying there for one night and then you go toward Jordan where the next faire stop is Petra. So basically these tours are all about faire from Cairo to Petra involving Dahab visit and such tours usually takes about 2 weeks I guess. And since all this was too expensive for us we actually hired a car at Dahab and drived toward north of Sinai. Anyway we had a great time we first reached Aqaba entering Jordan and from there we visited Petra. Anyway we got back to Dahab 3 days after and all went just fine.
