Hello! My wife and I are planning a trip to Albania this summer. We live in America and we decided to visit several European countries this summer. At the same time, this is our first visit of Europe and we are very excited. We chose Albania because a friend of mine went there a year ago and said that the sea-coast resembles the one in Greece but is much cheaper. Besides, my wife has a cousin in Albania. Do we need a visa?
I think that you need a valid passport, but I'm not sure that you need a visa. I think that the Albanians do not require a visa from the tourist from whatever country they come. Their entry politics implies a valid passport and that's all. Make sure your passport is valid for the following six months. That's the minimum period of validity. Otherwise, you won't be permitted to enter even if you passport has not expired yet. I also heard that the Albanian coast is attractive. I wouldn't agree that it is as nice as the Greek Aegean Coast, but since these two countries are very near, there must be some similarity.
