Good surfing locations in Ecuador

I love nature and wilderness as well as extreme sports and this year I will spend my holiday on Ecuador. It is a great country when it comes to scenic beauty and natural environment but since I'd like to surf while I' there, I'd like you to tell me where I can find good surfing spots. I didn't want to go to Hawaii only beacuse of good waves as I wanted to see this country.

Many people think that the only good places for surfing are Hawaii and Australia but actually there are numerous other destinations which are perfectfor this sport. One of them is Ecuador. I have heard that the best and most exciting waves ccan be experienced in Mompiche Area. I have even seen some photos and it really looks awesome and breathtaking. Atacames area also offers some interesting and very good surfing spots. There are also some pcituresque beaches where zou can chill out while you are not surfing. But I would wholeaheartedly recommend you Ecuador's central coast and a small fishing village – San Mateo. There you will be able to hit the longest wave in Ecuador. Have a great time!
