| Im visiting my parents in Sarasota. Im an avid bicyclist and I dont want to stop practicing while Im there, so Im carrying my bike along. I know that Sarasota is famous for its golf courses and swimming, so I would like to know if there are cycling roads there and what are they like? I also like mountain biking, so you can tell me if there are terrains suitable for that sport in Sarasota. |

| Im afraid that Ill have to disappoint you a bit, but Sarasota is not quite a biking heaven. Of course, there are bicycle lanes and places where you can ride your bike, but generally speaking despite numerous bicycling clubs and associations, the city hasnt been interested in investing some money in building and repairing bicycle lanes. The roads in Sarasota are jammed with traffic and I wouldnt suggest you to practice biking there because sometimes it can be dangerous. As for mountain biking, Im sure there are places, because you actually dont need a cultivated lane for that sport. Just grab your bike and explore the nearby area. I wish I could tell you something else. |
