Hello, folks. I'm preparing a trip to Alabama and it will be my first time there. I've heard about Southern kitchen and the custom of eating there. How are restaurants there? I won't prepare my own meals, so I'll be forced to eat out. How were our experiences? Thank you in advance.

Ive been eating out in Alabama for several years, since I had found work here. My first association to Alabama was the movie Fried Green Tomatoes with Katy Bathes. And Ive tried it down there. I often have lunch in Blue Willow. It also has an antique shop. I recommend you to try vinegar pie and pineapple casserole. But if you are a fan of a good barbeque, then you must go to the Greenbrier Restaurant. I enjoyed some fine barbeque few times. Ive heard that Gorhams Bluff and Mi Mis Country Tea Room are great, but I havent visited them myself, so I cant tell you my impressions. I must do that soon.
