Hi everyone. Can you give me some advice please? My boyfriend of five years and I are looking into a place where we can enjoy a wonderful, liberating vacation enjoying some of the wonderful things that Mother Nature has to offer. Some friends of mine have mentioned lakes Jasper and Louise (Not Thelma and Louise Smile). Are these worth a visit? Where are they actually?

The lakes are in the Canadian Rockies region. And yes, I would certainly say that they are worth a visit. The Rockies itself are great, absolutely stunning. If you like a hike this is the ideal place to go. I would advise you against going there in the middle of the winter though. Better wait until spring or summer when the terrain is a bit more accesible. And remember to bring your walking gear and tent!
