I am planning to visit Algeria this summer. The thing is that I am much curious in getting familiar with cultural aspects of North Africa-I have already visited Tunisia, Morocco and Egypt few times and so far I avoided visit Algeria for this civil war there during the 90’s. I hope it is now safe going there and if so I would much appreciate some info related to some Algerian spots to see.
I am an art history student and I visited one of the most attractive prehistoric cave art spots on the earth I guess-that is Tassili n’Ajjer in Algeria with its amazing landscape and cave art manifested in more than 15.000 engravings and drawings depicting all the possible natural appearances involving also some animal migrations. Anyway there are also many other reasons to visit Algeria besides occasional social alarming there –it is much safer visit this country now than it used to be up to few years ago-and so if you are interested in what are the best Algerian attractions to visit I may suggest you some site goals such as Kasbah of Algiers, M’zab Valley-just amazing, Timgad also is worth of visiting as well as Al Qal’a of Beni Hammad.
