I am going on my North African tour. I will visit Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Libya and Egypt. Pretty ambitious itinerary, isn’t it? Well, I plan to see half of it this year and the other half next year. I was suggested not to skip Tripoli as the city of Islamic culture. Is it true?

Yes, it is true. ISESCO (Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization) chose Tripoli among the capitals of Islamic Culture for 2007. Tripoli is truly an amazing city where you can find many historical places from Islam. However, many of them are not properly presented. Still, there are many other things that belong to Islamic culture available to the tourists.
