Is it possible to visit Atacama Desert? I have heard about this extraordinary place in the Andes and I’d like go there and see the place where the rain doesn’t fall. It seems to me that this place is pretty inaccessible and besides that I’m afraid that if I go alone there, I might go astray. What would you suggest me?
It is logical that you won’t go there alone! This is a place where climate conditions are harsh and I think that nobody can go there all alone. But you don’t have to worry because there are organized, guided tours to this region. I think that visiting this plateau when you are in South America is a must because there are few places on earth where a drop of rain hasn’t fallen in decades and even in centuries. There is a series of tours called Southern Latitudes and you can see what they offer. It is an American tour operator and maybe you can contact them via the internet if you are from some other place.
