Malawi is my next destination. I’m going to visit Lilongwe and I’m wondering how to rent a car there. I do that wherever I go as I don’t like to depend on public transportation and taxis. I can just jump in the car and go wherever I want at that very moment. Still I don’t know how safe it is to do that in this country. Give me a few hints about that. Tx!

I also rent a car when I go to a foreign country but only if the country is in Europe, Australia, America or Japan. I avoid doing that in countries which are regarded to be poor or potentially unsafe. This is not a racial discrimination or something, but I have heard about people who have had some bad experiences in African or Asian countries. Still, if you don’t share my opinion you can find AVIS rent-a-car at the airport in Lilongwe. You can rent a vehicle from 10 USD a day, which is pretty affordable. I just hope that this is a safe region and that you won’t have any troubles while driving around alone.
