Too few tourists visited Maldives this year

Too few tourists visited Malavi this year! Im wondering why that is so, when these islands are so attractive. I was amazed when I visited its capital Male, because its so strange to be in the city which covers the whole area of the island. Its like a reservation in a vastness of the ocean. I plan to visit it again next year.

I dont know where you got that information. Maldives are a very exclusive destination in the Indian Ocean and tourists like it. Maybe youve come across some old statistics. When that deathly tsunami swept away everything on the shores of many resorts in the Indian Ocean, it also destroyed a big part of Male. But when you think, its not so safe to live on an island that is less then 2km long and only over a kilometer wide. What to do in case of emergency? It was probably terrifying to see a giant wave approaching and you dont have where to hide and retreat deeper in the mainland. Its like living on ship, in a way. Maybe people were a bit afraid after those unfortunate events.
