Hi, I am from USA, in about two month I will go to Bratislava to live there. I am going to be a student and I am interested for prices in Bratislava. Yes, I already know prices for scholarship and hostel, but I must know some prices so that I can plan my monthly budget. You can presume that I am mostly interested for nightlife, groceries, food and drinks, in fact, everything that will help my social life.

Like in every city in the world, everything depends from one place to another. Generally speaking you must carefully planning where to buy and also what club or bar you going to visit. Bratislava is not much cheaper then Berlin for instance or Marseille or more expensive then London or Frankfurt. You already know that whole Slovakia is in Euro currency zone. I’ll give you some of prices so that you can have some orientation. If you need some shoes, you will pay around $20. If it is chilly weather, you must depart from your wallet… say $35. Drinks, like wine, beer, non-alcohol drinks are from $0.40 up to $4. Entering in some nightclubs is from $2 up to $10, but beer and cocktails in these nightclubs is somewhat very expensive, but this is price you must pay for a nightlife. Maybe information I provide to you is enough, maybe not, but you must be carefully.
