How safe is a Tuk-tuk

hello,
I have been wondering about a mean of transport that I saw in Cambodia last year while on my vacation. I was afraid to try it since it seemed rather dangerous in my opinion. My boyfriend claimed that it wasn't dangerous. We will visit Cambodia again this year and I would like to find out is a tuk-tuk. Anyone?

Hi,
I have stayed in Cambodia last year with some friends of mine and we have tried tuk-tuk. It was great experience. I advice you to choose your vehicle carefully since an accident can always happen, those cabins seem pretty safe but I am not sure how old they are and when they could get broken....
