Hello my friends here I am again .A few friends and I are contemplating our next group trip together. As members of the same gym and doing rather many sporting activities together, we have set our eyes on hiking around the Arenal in Costa Rica. What do you think of our idea? Any recommendations?

Wow! I must certailny say that you guys are entreprising. The Arenal Volcano in Costa Rica is one of their most recent and active ones. A typical conical stratovolcano which is definitely in activity, it is definitely to be treated with the respect it deserves. Hiking conidtions are good, but obviously only when the volcany is not in activity. You'll have to keep checking with the local volcanic observatory. Security is good as obvioulsy guerillas and drug barons do not really like such a naked and unreliable environment.
