Im going to Tasmania with my husband. Its really not the destination I myself would choose, but he insists on going there. I dont know what I can expect there. Ive heard that it is a beautiful region, but I know nothing about its climate. What sort of clothes should I bring? Are there heavy rains there? I have to pack my things as soon as possible.

Tasmania is a really beautiful area, but you cant do without a guide because its pretty unexplored. You may join some of the organized tours led by a tourist guide and go to some isolate beaches you yourself couldnt possibly discover. Those beaches are particularly attractive for the quality of sea water. Its so clear, almost lucid. There are many national parks there where you can see wildlife in all its authenticity. Climate is characterized by high temperature amplitudes. You should know that August is a winter month in Tasmania and that summer begins in December. So, I suggest you bring some warm clothes. The winters are snowy. Have a nice time!
