I am supposed to visit Peru next week precisely I would be visiting Olantaytambo but I am currently in Aguas Calientes and would appreciate much if someone tells me how I am supposed to reach Olantaytambo in Peru the best and easiest way and how long this trip would take. Thanks!
Well I never was in Aguas Calientes but I suppose you may take a flight from the Mexico City to Lima. So once you reach Lima I think there is a train and if not the train there is a bus for sure to catch right up to the Cuzco and from here you would easily get to Olantaytambo by some local bus. I remember going there few years ago and I know that from Cuzco to Olantaytambo it takes less than 2 hours and what was the best I had a free ride for you know it is not like there is a frequent bus transport-for Olantaytambo is at about almost 3000 m above the sea level but no matter this the temperature is moderate –it was about 21 degrees when I was there. Anyway I don’t know why you are going there but I bet you will be enthusiastic with this almost untouched Inka town where it seems like the time has stopped.
