mosquitos in buenos aires?

Hello! Are there mosquitoes in Buenos Aires for I am planning on going there for summer vacation and I have pretty much arranged all regarding the accommodation but am worrying over mosquitoes there in Buenos Aires and do I need some mosquitoes protection and are the bites of mosquitos in Buenos Aires sort of dangerous and contageous. Thanks much!

Well I don’t think there are that many mosquitoes in Buenos Aires as much as in some other parts of Argentina but still you may bring some cream protection there. I have spent last summer vacation in Buenos Aires and I stayed at a city center hotel and there are nets at windows so I haven’t any problem sleeping there at nights but I have heard from some my friends that they were beaten all over by mosquitoes in some other districts of Buenos Aires especially if it is about area far away from the city but it is not like thay have caused them some infections.
