Hi,
I have decided to take a trip to Lebanon this summer with some friends of mine. I know that Lebanon was under the French influence for a long period and that their official language is French besides Arabic. Therefore I was wondering what is Lebanese currency. Thanks advance for your response.

Hi,
you are right. Lebanon became French protectorate after the Ottoman Empire had fallen. This is why French is widely excepted as a national language and used even more than Arabic. This is why Lebanon, unlike most Arabic countries have Pounds for its currency and not Dinar. 1557.9 pounds costs 1 American dollar...
