How far is Miami Beach from the Airport?

Hello there! I am going to Miami in the beginning of the next coming May. I already have a flying ticket and I also booked a hotel located on Miami Beach. I have a problem to reach the hotel from the airport. How far are those places one from another? Is it too expensive to take a cab?

There is about 12 miles between Miami Airport and Miami Beach. If you decide to take a shuttle or taxi you will need about 20 minutes to reach your hotel from the airport. The price is not too high, maybe about 30 Dollars. There is also possibility to rent a car, it is not difficult to drive from the airport to Miami Beach.
