Is there a danger of hurricanes in Miami?

Hello there! I plan to visit Miami during next spring or sumer. I have never been there, but my friend goes almost every year and now she wants to take me with her. I am a little afraid of hurricanes over there. Is there a danger of hurricanes at all? If there is, what is the period of hurricanes? Thank you very much!

As first you should know that hurricanes are predictable. They can’t come in a moment and from nowhere. You could mention that on TV you can hear that hurricane is coming 7-10 days before it reaches a continet. There is no exact season of hurricanes, but most of them are coming in the end of fall.
