I know some people might find my question a bit ridiculous, but I would really appreciate if someone would be kind enough and find some time to answer me. The thing is that I am going to spend two weeks in Hong Kong, and I was thinking of using that opportunity to go to Beijing one day. Since I have heard that traveling by train is the cheapest possible way of traveling, I would like to know if the trains on this route are safe.

To be totally honest with you, I used to travel around China (and thus on this route, too) by train a lot two years ago (from the same economical reason), and never once did I have some bad experience. I don’t know what the situation with safety in trains is today, but I doubt it changed much.
