| I like good wine. I have developed a taste for it over the years so you may say that I am a sort of connoisseur. Now, I plan to go to France, the land of good wine. Unfortunately, I have never been there before so I am not sure where to go first. Which is the best French area for tasting wines? |

| France in general is the best country for tasting wines. It has a great variety and diversity of different wines originating from different regions. If you care to taste them you will notice that each one of them is specific. The most famous wine area in France is Bordeaux. There are some areas within Bordeaux like Margaux, Pauillac, Saint Emilion, Pomerol, Sauternes, etc. You can find many famous wineries there like Cheval Blanc, Mouton Rothschild, Margaux, Petrus, Yquem, etc. I suggest you also visit Burgundy since this is also the region where you can taste the best wines like Pommard, Meursault, Romanée Conti, Clos Vougeot, etc. |
