Ritz vs Marriott in Cancun?

Hi,
My friends and I have just decided to take a trip together and we decided to go to Cancun. We heard of many great hotels here, but especially of Marriott and Ritz. Since we haven't been there before we were wondering which hotel is better in your opinion. Does someone have any experience? Thanks a lot.

Hi,
I have stayed in Marriott last year. I really had great time and great service. The room was very cozy and my husband was pretty happy about our hotel and that is not often if you know what I mean. Ritz is good too, but we had some complaints about the service and food being expensive and without any taste. But the room had more light.
