Hello! I am planning on spending a weekend in Montreal. I know that one weekend is not enough to see everything in Montreal, but I can’t stay any longer for many reasons. What sites of Montreal do you recommend me to visit during this short period of time? What are the activities typical of Montreal? Where should I stay for a weekend? Any suggestions about the accommodation?

It’s a pity you can’t stay any longer in Montreal because it is one of the loveliest cities in Canada. You’ll actually have only one day for visits because you can hardly see anything on the arrival and departure day. Anyway, there is still something you can visit. Notre-dame Basilica, Botanical gardens and the old part of the city can be seen in one day. What activities to practice in Montreal? I doubt there will be time for them, but you can see some of the festivals that often take place in Montreal. There are also some typical winter activities such as skiing, skating, tubing. You can stay at Hotel Ruby Foo’s near the Airport.

You didn't say what are your interests and what you enjoy doing the most but you can do anything in Montreal. It's an amazing city and there's something for everybody. The night-life is amazing. The fun starts on Thursday and goes till the end of the weekend. If you are a party lover, I hope you choose one of these days.
