Is Hermosa beach a good choice?

I heard that when it comes to California, nightlife is one of the things that the Hermosa Beach is well known for. Is there anyone who could tell me if that is really true, because it was one of the main reasons why my friends and I decided to spend next weekend there. Was Hermosa Beach a good choice in this case?

If I can be honest with you, it is my opinion that there are many places with much better fun in California, but I must admit that Hermosa Beach also has its moments. I guess that it will probably be a great choice for those who don’t come here often, so I you can say it was a good choice in your case.
