Good evening, folks. I am a historian in London and I am preparing my PHD considering Portuguese history. Id like to go to portugal and explore the terrain. I would like to know if travel agencies prepare these trips which put an accent to historical monuments. Id be grateful for any answer.

Good evening to you, too. Portugal is one of the most beautiful countries in Mediterranean and yet to be explored. Ive heard that there are some excursions that can be considered as Portugal historical tours. It depends how many days you plan staying in Portugal. If you are short in time, you can take a 7 days tour to visit ancient structures that are near Lisbon. There is also a 6 days biking tour in Southern Portugal. I took a tour around Portuguese villages like Marvo, Belmonte or Monsanto. But if you can afford more days for the trip, then I suggest you to take some tours that not only include Portugal, than also Northern Spain. Some of the tours include Morocco also. All the tours that Ive numbered here include historical sightseeing.
