| Yucatan peninsula has much to offer regardless of the time of the year. Most popular resort areas of Cancun, Cozumel, and Playa del Carmen are swamped with tourists who want to have good time. You can stay a couple of days in each one of these destinations or park in one of them and go on day trips exploring surrounding area. If you want to explore Yucatan you should not miss Akumal, Grutas de Balankanche, Isla Holbox, Isla Mujeres, Rio Lagartos, and Xel-Ha. Also you have to see the cities of Escarcega, Progresso, Ticul and Valladolid. Specific to the Yucatan peninsula is the Mayan legacy. You can feel it everywhere. It would take more than one vacation just to glance all the ruins. Some of the most famous sites include Chichen Itza, Coba, Edzna, Kabah, Tulum and Uxmal. Believe me; you will be thanking your wife for taking you to Yucatan. |
