bus from tupiza to tarija

my friend is now at tupiza and is having problem finding a bus from tupiza to tarija and it is been longer than 5 days I have been waiting for him. I don’t get it how come there is no bus from tupiza to tarija and what would be the best way for my friend to reach tarija –he needs to get here by Sunday morning.

I am afraid the only way is by walking or to hire some local inhabitant to give him a ride up to tarija. I was once at tupiza and it is a small town in the Ande’s valley and it is not like buses are so regular there. Anyway there happened to be one bus there from tupiza to tarija that day but I was not happy with the trip. It was to hot and the bus was not air conditioned and I forget to bring extra water with me. And after 2 hours of driving the bus stopped and it took more than half of a day to keep on with this trip so having the bus drive from tupiza to tarija is not something I would advice. So maybe the best solution would be if you hire some car in tarija and go get your friend.
