What animal species I can see in Mauritius?

I have been hoping to go to a really exotic place for ages now and finally we have decided to go and visit Mauritius. It costs a few bob, but what you get in return is fantastic, or so I have heard. Can you tell me what animal species I can see in Mauritius?

Of course you should go scuba diving or snorkeling while you are out there, and the underwater life is something really stunning over there. They have all kids of fish and other sea life near Mauritius that is really unique to the area. Apart from that there are also rare birds on Mauritius.
