Hi, folks. I am currently in Geneva and need to reach Venice. I havent got the idea which transportation to use. Should I take train or airplane? I hear opposite opinions here in Geneva, so I would like to hear some opinions on the internet. Especially I would like to hear what my Germans have to say if theyve been to this trip and Im sure they have.

Well, hello, my friend. I am from Germany and have been crossing that rout several times. I think it is better to take a plane. I took Alitalias and Lufthansas planes. Alitalia has a flight that connects in Rome and another flight with connecting in Milan. The one with connecting in Milan lasts shorter. But if you like a domestic airline, then take Lufthansa. They have two flights also; one connects in Munich and the other in Frankfurt. Maybe it will last longer, but you will feel like home in Lufthansas airplanes. Ive never traveled from Geneva to Venice by train, so I cant tell you my impressions.
