| Hm, don’t take what I say for granted, but I have read that insects and other kinds of gross species are not a problem on the Maldives. There are mosquitoes but they are not flying in swarms so some insect repellant would come in handy. There is a curiosity that I have read about a certain group of islands near Africa but I can’t remember what they are. Namely, since they are volcanic islands there were no insects and since they were inhabited quite recently there were strict controls of what was brought on the islands so no insects were smuggled. At first I thought that those are the Maldives, but apparently there are some insects but I still don’t think that they can cause some major problems to tourists. This means that I vote for the Maldives! |
