| As I am completely and totally into exploring religions and religious heritage, visiting Jerusalem is my first destination. I planned to go there during this year, but I must admit that because of some other people experiences I got a bit concerned. I heard of tourists being ripped off at the airports, cabs, bus stations, almost in every possible public place. Even in The Church! I know there are always the police and the embassy for such cases, but I am a bit afraid to end up in the worst possible scenario, as in the movies. Anyone has a piece of advice? |

| I wish I had a better experience to share with you, but I do not. I went to Jerusalem, few years ago, and if I can prevent at least one of you to live through what I just have had I would reach my goal. I got completely ripped off at the airport, right after arriving. Imagine some of my documents, and almost all of my money stolen! I admit it was mainly my fault, being so naive, I made a beginners mistake and tried to exchange my money on the black market. Luckily, I reacted right after it happened, so the police caught them, but because of the stress the holiday was not the same. I do not mean to stop you from going there, because Jerusalem is definitely worth seeing, but never be at ease, and keep away from anyone who seems suspicious. |
