Next month Ill be traveling through Patagonia. I wanted some excitement and Ive decided to talk a few of my friends into going there. I actually dont know what to expect there apart from harsh climate and somewhat desolate scenery, but for some reason I cant wait to get there. Has anyone been to Patagonia? What are your experiences and tips? Thanks.

Its a most unusual place. I felt as if I had been alone in the whole world. The climate is not as harsh as you might have expected. The problem is mostly in the fact that temperatures tend to vary greatly, and such extremes are very unpleasant. Since youre not an explorer, I suppose, I think its best to take a guided tour. There are many options and I suggest you the one starting from Buenos Aires. It lasts for 12 days and itinerary encompasses all the interesting and attractive places, with guides that speak English. That way, youll be able to learn much about this fascinating region. There are also trekking and 4X4 tours across Patagonia. So, its up to you.
