Ciudad Perdida trekking - need advice on packing

Hello friends! After a very hard semester I’m gonna treat myself with an adventure. I think that is the best way to heal the consequences of 24/7 studying. So, after countless nights of burning the midnight oil, Ciudad Perdida here I come! I just need your advice on packing. Is there anything in particular that I should know about this trekking tour?

I hope that you have had a successful finishing! Ciudad Perdida is a place for real trekking enthusiasts. Namely, it is not easily accessible and I hope that you know that if you go on this trekking tour you will have to cover the total of about 40 kilometers. So, pack insect repellants, clean clothes and I would suggest you to wear long sleeves and trousers because I suppose that those are more protective. You should also know that a usual tour lasts for five days. I don’t want to discourage you but this place used to be highly risky for tourists because of kidnapping cases. The authorities say that the area is completely safe now.
