I need some guidelines about driving rules in British Columbia. I have a great job opportunity there and I am going to move with my whole family. I will sign a contract for two years. That means that I have to use my car. I already have driver license and I was wandering if I have to take driver test again there. I also dont know very much about their driving rules and regulations. Can anyone give me some more information.

I know that for most countries you need to have a driver test again so you could get their license. You must buy a permit for your test. About documents needed you should contact ICBC for more details. There are 8 classes of driving licenses there and you will need number 5 and 7 for driving. This license is legal for 5 years. You should download Road Sense Manual for information of signs and rules. Always be sure to have all documents needed, valid license, valid insurance and car registration with you because fines can be really high. You should prepare your car specially for winter and for summer driving. Be aware of cameras and pedestrians.
